Mediate: I have recently have started meditation up again. It is really hard. I go through spirts to being consent to meditation. This time I’m going to do it for 30 days, I will let you know how it goes. Meditation has so many health benefits, including reducing stress, improving concentration, lowering high blood pressure, improving heart rate, and so much more. The more you meditate, the easier it gets. There are a bunch of different methods to meditate; there are some awesome apps that walk you through how to breathe, what to think, how to sit, etc.. Here are my favorite apps to check out.
Bath: Taking a Bath is so nice to wind down after a stressful day.
A recent study published that an hour-long soak in hot water can produce anti-inflammatory and blood sugar responses. It has also improved your muscles and joints.
Sweat: I love to sweat. The one thing to get me out of a funk is to run. When something doesn’t turn out the way I want or if I get upset. I love getting those endorphins. Nothing is better than getting a good run in.
Laugh: What is better than surrounding yourself with great friends and family. Surround yourself with your support system. It always makes me feel better.
Unplug: There is so much of the world that can be negative and sad. Sometimes I turn on the News, and it makes me so depressed. Or even when I look at Instagram and feel like I’m not doing more with my life. I do get jealous! It is good to turn it all off and step away. Enjoy, realize and look around at the amazing life that you do have. Don’t worry about what you don’t have.
Get Outdoors: Scientist has proven that nature lowers stress levels. Just looking outside in the garden or going for a walk outside reduces stress significantly and lower heart rate. Here is an article in Business Insider. I know I feel so much better when I spend some time outside. If it is a short walk or a coffee outside. I don’t feel as groggy, I feel so much better about my work and think so much clearer.
Crafting: I love crafting it allows me to turn off my brain and focus on making something. There is nothing better than making something you can use or wear. What is better than making a handmade card or gift for your mom or friends birthday. They will love it too!
